How Much Does It Cost to Create a Solana Token?

Updated September 21, 2026 5 min read

Quick answer

  • On CopyFrenzy the platform fee is 0.25 SOL, plus 0.1 SOL for each optional add-on (0.75 SOL at most with all 5).
  • On top of that you pay small network costs and Raydium's own pool creation fee. Neither goes to the launch tool.
  • The SOL you pair for liquidity is not a fee. It stays in the pool as your position.
  • Keep about 0.25 SOL spare beyond the fee and your liquidity so the pool step cannot fail.

The four costs of a launch

When people ask what it costs to create a Solana token, the answer is really four different costs, paid to different places:

CostGoes toAmount
Platform feeThe launch tool0.25 SOL base, +0.1 SOL per optional add-on on CopyFrenzy
Network rent and transaction feesThe Solana networkA small amount for each new account
Pool creation feeRaydiumSet by Raydium; charged when the pool is created
Liquidity (your SOL)Stays in the pool as your positionWhatever you choose to pair

The platform fee, and the optional add-ons

Launch tools charge their own fee for the service. On CopyFrenzy it is 0.25 SOL, shown before you sign. Each optional add-on is 0.1 SOL:

  • Set a creator name in the metadata
  • Add social links
  • Revoke freeze authority
  • Revoke mint authority
  • Revoke update authority

With none of them the fee is 0.25 SOL. With all 5 it is 0.75 SOL. You can see what each one does in our token creation guide.

Network costs and Raydium's pool fee

Solana requires a small deposit, called rent, for every new account: the token's mint, its metadata, and your token account. There are also transaction fees. These go to the network, not to the launch tool.

Creating a Raydium pool adds Raydium's own pool creation fee. Check Raydium for the current amount, since protocols can change their fees.

Rule of thumb: keep about 0.25 SOL in your wallet on top of the platform fee and your liquidity. The create form checks your balance against this before you start, so you are not left with a token and no pool.

Liquidity is not a fee

The SOL you pair with your supply goes into the pool and is yours, held as LP tokens. It is exposed to price swings, and you can withdraw your share later (see how to remove liquidity). How much to add is a decision about your starting price and depth, covered in our liquidity pool guide.

Ways to pay less per launch

If you plan to launch more than once, prepaid Launch Packs lower the cost per launch. A credit covers the base fee only. Add-ons are still charged in SOL.

  • Starter: 1 SOL for 4 launches (0.25 SOL each)
  • Pro: 5 SOL for 22 launches (0.227 SOL each)
  • Whale: 10 SOL for 50 launches (0.2 SOL each)

What a launch does not include

These costs get your token created and tradable. They do not cover marketing, community building, or any outcome for your token. Treat any launch as risky, and only use funds you can afford to lose.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest way to create a Solana token?
Skip the optional extras and keep your liquidity modest. On CopyFrenzy that means the 0.25 SOL base fee plus network costs and the SOL you choose to pair. Remember a token with no liquidity cannot be traded.
Is the liquidity a cost?
Not a fee. The SOL you pair with your supply goes into the pool as your position, and you hold the LP tokens that represent it. It is at risk from price moves, and you can withdraw your share later if you still hold the LP tokens.
Why do I need a buffer on top of the fee?
New accounts need a rent deposit and Raydium charges a pool creation fee. If your wallet runs short after the token is minted, the pool step can fail, so it is safer to hold a cushion.
Are network fees paid to CopyFrenzy?
No. Network rent and transaction fees go to the Solana network, and the pool creation fee goes to Raydium. Only the platform fee comes to us.
Does removing liquidity cost anything?
Not on CopyFrenzy. There is no platform fee for removing liquidity, only the network fee for your own transaction.

The create form shows your total fee before you sign anything.
